Premier BHLThe Premier Ball Hockey league, along with the Ontario Ball Hockey Association, is proud to announce the commencement of their summer season on Sunday April 28. We are pleased to welcome four new members to the league and have assembled the best 11 teams in the Province that will compete for the right to be crowned the top club in the Province.

After years in the works the Premier Division is extremely proud to announce that Barrie will finally be joining the league. The Barrie Wild Ball Hockey Club will make their Premier debut in 2013 and we are excited for this era to begin. With a wealth of players in the region to select from the Wild will be a solid formidable opponent every night.

The Bruins have found a new home in Belleville. The Belleville Bruins have arrived, in a joint effort the Oshawa Bruins have joined forces with their neighbours from Belleville to produce a team that has their sights set on a Premier Championship. The trip out East will prove difficult for all opponents as these Bruins are ready to battle.

After participating in the fall season the North York Hitmen will test their skills and determination in a summer Premier season for the first time. The Hitmen opened plenty of eyes in the fall with their intense and gritty play. A well-coached and managed team, the youth and energy of this club will equal many positive results.

We would like to welcome aboard the St. Thomas Wildcats from the region of London. The Provincial “B” Champions from 2011 the “Cats” are poised and ready to compete at the top level. After a taste of Premier Competition at last year’s Canada Cup, St. Thomas proved that they can play with the big boys and are ready to make their mark.

Our four newest members will compete with the seven returning members to create the ultimate group of 11. The Fall Champions Metro Orangemen will look to continue their winning ways as they set their sights on winning their first summer Premier Championship. A young group with the right mix of veterans the Orangemen are the favourites to retain their Champion status.

After having their five year streak end as Champions the Brampton Express are chomping at the bit to get back in the winner’s circle. The 2011 and 2012 National Champs will be loaded and ready to go when the first ball drops.

Will the Mississauga Hawks soar to the highest of heights. Always regarded as a contender the Hawks added much needed depth and are a team on the cusp of a division Championship. Can the Hawks return to the podium and be crowned the best of the best.

The Niagara Generals are reporting for duty. Our Niagara entry will enter their second season with experience and knowledge of what it takes to win at the highest level. Tough opponents the Generals have the entire division on high alert.

The Toronto Polar Bears are back and looking to build on their superb 2012 season. After reaching the finals in 2012 the Bears have one more step to take and that’s taking home the Gold. A cohesive well coached group beware the roar of the Bears as they get ready to swipe away the competition.

After an amazing run to the fall final the Toronto Thunder will be looking for redemption. A veteran laden team the Thunder possess arguably the top offensive group in the division. Always a favourite the Thunder will be looking to strike.

Taking the division by storm over their first two seasons the Vaughan Red Wings have been the talk of the Ball Hockey world. Young, fast and exciting this just may be the year of the Wings.

These 11 will compete in a three month trek towards the Holy Grail of Ball Hockey…A Premier Championship. Check daily for updates, schedules and exclusive interviews with players, coaches and managers as we count down the days to the start of the season.
